I felt like closed room behind a shut door. Empty. I didn’t know any better. But today these doors are wide open. My heart has witnessed the beauty of living as a conscious and spiritual being and the doors are never closing again.

During this journey of exploring spirituality, in the most unexpected way, I reconnected with my friend, let’s call her the little tarot goddess-LTG. Both myself and LTG had gone through a fair amount of turbulence in our dating lives. Knowing this about her and following my heart, when I had the opportunity of inviting someone to do the ‘Calling in The One’ series by Katherine Woodward Thomas, I chose her, my most spiritually awakened Pokemon. Thanks to this initiative, I learned about how LTG was leaning towards seeking guidance from Tarot. It’s not like I had never been to a tarot reader in the past, but learning about it from LTG was an experience. Since we live on opposite sides of the globe, (quite literally- she lives in Germany and I live in Australia) we never got the chance to get together in person, so when I finally saw her in person we had to get together for a real intense reading.

Incense sticks, crystals and the vibe, I could feel the radiant positivity right before we did the reading. I asked a couple of questions, about following my life purpose and my career. But then I got to the real question- about the most challenging aspect of my life- love! After drawing the cards, LTG smiled and said they didn’t make sense to her, so I drew some more and I drew again and yet there wasn’t a clear knowing or understanding. LTG interpreted the cards nonetheless and we followed it with quite a bit of discussion.

After a fair amount of ‘reflection’ (that’s my new positive word for overthinking) I pondered to myself- if the cards don’t know then who does? It was only then that I realised I am the one drawing the cards, the answers are never in cards, or “out there,’’ they are “in here”. We all know the answers. We just need to know that we know them. Tarot is not about prediction, tarot is not about the solution. Tarot is guidance, spirituality and reflection. A medium that helps us understand the answers that lie within us. All we need to do is allow them to come to us. We know and that’s all we need to know to allow us to grow and stay in the flow. Thanks to LTG and the spiritual experience she offered to me through her reading, I am now happy to live in the uncertainty and waiting for life to surprise me while I am aware and conscious!
